Project EMMETI is produced in closed cell sintered expanded polystyrene type EPS 150 and hot coated with a compact PS film 160 micron thick which provides high mechanical resistance to collisions and treading , as well as an effective barrier to screed mixing water. The shape of the castellated surface bosses allow for a multiple pipe spacing 50 mm, which gives the designer maximum free- dom when sizing the system.
Range
The panel is available in three versions:
- useful thickness (bosses excluded) of 20 mm boss height = 26,5 mm / total thickness = 46,5 mm
- useful thickness (bosses excluded) of 30 mm boss height = 26,5 mm / total thickness = 56,5 mm
- useful thickness (bosses excluded) of 40 mm boss height = 26,5 mm / total thickness = 66,5 mm
Use
The Project Emmeti Floor panel is used as an insulating and support layer for the piping in underfloor heating and cooling systems. The physical-mechanical features make it suitable for use in any type of building.
Installation
The panels are joined together thanks to the special interlo- cking grooves on the edges that seal the surface of the insu- lating layer thus avoiding thermal bridges. The panels can be easily cut using a simple cutter with a large blade. The Alpert and PEX DN16-17 mm pipes can be fitted by a single operator by pushing with a foot. The pipe remains blocked thanks to the special shape of the bosses with a slight undercut, while the widened base of the bosses keeps the pipe slightly raised from the sheet, improving the embedding of the screed.
Compliance with standards and certifications
The Project Emmeti Floor panels are produced in accordance with standard UNI EN 13163 (thermal insulation for buildings - factory made products of expanded polystyrene) and certified by the Regulation (EU) N. 305/2011. The panels and the labels of the packaging feature the CE marking.
